1. Why can't I connect to my FTP server ?

The common problem is the path which must be full path. And username, password, or path should be case-sensitive. You can try to use browser to connect to your ftp server (type ftp://<FTP Server>) to browse folders to identify the full path in location bar. If you still cannot connect to your FTP server, please email us and we will provide FTP Server for your testing.


2. How can I import videos from Desktop ?

You can import videos to default photos app via iTunes (check "include videos" option). Only MP4 and M4V videos can be imported. AVI videos can be converted to M4V videos using QuickTime Player. Here are the steps:
  • Use QuickTime Player to open video. There is an action icon on the player control (next to enlarge screen icon), tap this icon, select "iTunes", there is a dialog saying "Save your movie to iTunes", then select iPhone & iPod.
  • After a while, there is a new file in iTunes' movies. 
  • Drag this file to a folder, say "test_video". Until now, iTunes converted it to iPhone's video version. 
  • Select your device in iTunes, choose "Photos", then choose selected folders and check "Include Videos" 
  • Select "test_video", then sync. 
  • It will appear in default photos app after synchronization is completed. 
  • Finally, you can add this video to Creative Book Builder.

3. Can I publish my book to iBookstore ?

Yes. All books generated by Creative Book Builder are compliant to epub standard. You need to join as content provider for iTunes. For more information about publishing books to iBookstore, please visit http://www.apple.com/itunes/content-providers/book-faq.html.


4. Can I import ePub file ?

Yes. Any ePub files (except full screen book) can be imported as new book or merged into existing book.


5. How can I import posts from Evernote, Blogger, WordPress and RSS/Atom feed ?

Please follow the steps:
  1. Tap Import button (down arrow)
  2. Select EvernoteBloggerWordPress, or RSS/Atom Feed
  3. Type the required information
  4. Tap Start Import button

6. How do I merge books ?

Please follow the steps:
  1. Enter book list
  2. Tap "Edit" button 
  3. Select some books
  4. Tap "Merge" button
  5. Enter "Merge Books" screen
  6. Change the merged book title or ordering
  7. Tap "Done" button

7. How can I add my own font ?

Please follow the steps:
  1. Enter book list
  2. Tap action icon
  3. Select "Custom Font"

8. Why does CBB say my generated book is too large ?

If you are using older version of iOS and older iPad/iPhone model, iBooks may not open large book properly. Therefore, CBB will prompt a warning message. You still can generate the book. If you are using the latest version of iOS and iPad/iPhone model, iBooks should be able to open it properly.


9. I have bought new iPad / iPhone, how do I migrate my content from old iPad / iPhone to new iPad / iPhone ?

11. My primary language on my device is not Simplified Chinese. Why is the language of CBB Simplified Chinese ?

The reason is related to preferred language settings on your device. The solution is to change ordering of preferred language. Please refer to App Language Problem (https://getcreativebookbuilder.blogspot.com/2017/02/app-language-problem.html)


12. Are there any way to get EPUB files from iBooks app ?

13. Why are my books missing suddenly ?

Database file may be corrupted. Please send database file to support:

Please follow the steps:
1. In Book List, tap action icon
2. Select Help
3. Tap "Send Us Database"
4. Tap "Send" button to send email with attachment of database file

If you have full backup on iTunes, you can also try to restore from it.
